This announcement invites applications for funding under the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health M Capacity program, designed to enhance maternal safety through evidence-based practices and improve quality of care outcomes. This national commitment promote safe pregnancy experiences, reduce maternal mortality rates in the United States, and diminish preventable complications associated with pregnancy.
The M program supports states by identifying, developing, implementing, and disseminating best practices that can be applied across various birthing facilities. Purpose:
The primary goal is to increase access to safe, reliable, and quality healthcare by enhancing state-level capacity in implementing M initiatives. Increase the number of birthing facility settings hospitals implementing patient safety bundles
Increase the total number of core bundles being implemented or sustned in healthcare settings
Promote respectful and equitable care practices among all birthing facilities participating in M
Collect data on racial and ethnic disparities for at least one patient safety bundle
Eligible Applicants:
Domestic public organizations, private entities, fth-based groups, community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.
