Monitoring Data: Strengthening Essential Newborn Care

We are committed to implementing the Every Newborn Action Plan adopted in May 2014 under the UN Secretary-General's Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s Adolescents' Health 2016-30. This plan ms at ing preventable deaths. We collaborate with countries and partners to improve data on routine health care services provided to newborns.

Data Collection Indicators Development

We are working closely with nations to enhance the avlability and quality of data on essential newborn care through routine health systems. We coordinate efforts to develop national and subnational indicators for assessing coverage levels of key essential newborn care practices.
